  • Good Shepherd Christmas Float
    October 8, 2018
Good Shepherd Christmas Float—The Evangelization Team is seeking anyone from the parish who may own a flatbed truck or know of someone who does. Last year was the first year Good Shepherd has entered a float in the Uxbridge First Night Holiday Parade. This years parade will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 4:30 pm. We would need the use of the flatbed truck on that day from 8 am until 8 pm. If you can help please call the rectory. The team would like to thank Al Destrempes for the use of his camper trailer last year. He even spent the day with us and drove his truck in the parade. We would like to go bigger this year with more parishioners able to ride on the float. Last year we were the only church entered in the parade singing Christmas Carols along the parade route giving the message to remember to keep “Christ in Christmas.” We were well received. We will also, once again, have a tent on the common giving away free hot cider and cookies and religious items to all in attendance. We will be looking for volunteers in the near future from the parish to make this a great success!

  • Can Drive for Eagle Scout Project
    April 30, 2018
Hi, my name is Nathaniel Thompson from Troop 25, Uxbridge, MA. I am working towards my Eagle Scout Achievement. In my Eagle Scout project, I will be repairing the playground area behind the Good Shepherd Parish Center. In its current state, the playground is in disrepair. In repairing the playground, I plan to repair the bent fence, replace the mulch and clean the equipment. In doing this, I hope to make the playground a nicer area for children to congregate. This could also bring more people to the church. In order to obtain the necessary funding for the project, I will be holding a bottle and can drive in the church until June 2, 2018.
